"Last week, with a want of good taste, at this time unaccountable, we omitted to give credit to the ladies of Bennett Valley Grange for the very Important part they had in the pleasant celebration. This was even worse than the play of Hamlet with the part of Hamlet left out. They were untiring in their efforts to add to the pleasure of the guests. The feast that they prepared and the taste displayed in arranging the tables proved that they took a lively interest in the memorable dedication of Bennett Valley Grange Hall. Mrs. Carr. Mrs. Lyman, Mrs. Story, Mrs. Lacque, Mrs. Hughes and Miss Burnham, of Bennett Valley, Mrs. Coulter, Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Mills, of Santa Uosu, devoted the greater part of their time to others. Their assistants were too numerous to mention. Had we forgotten the celebration altogether we might have been pardoned—to forget its chief and prettiest feature Is, we fear, unpardonable."
