There has been a picnic at the Grange Hall the first Sunday of June since 1873.
100 years ago this June, from the Press Democrat:

A program of events which included races, dancing, speeches, and basket lunches, climaxed one notable state grangers, including of the greatest assemblies ever held by the grange, at which many George R. Harrison, master of the state grange, George Chclmeyer, lecturer of the state grange, and Mrs. Martha Gambel, secretary of the state grange, were present.”
