Coming soon to a Grange Hall Near You:

All Bennett Valley Town Halls will now be recorded and posted to Youtube

Thanks to your support, we now have the capability to record audio of all town halls and public talks we host. We know some of you cannot attend all of the town halls, so we setup the ability to record any public meetings we host. Whether it's a town hall or a presentation on wildlife or fire prevention, we'll let you know with a link in the newsletter. This same system also allows us to offer better amplified sound for those who attend in person.

Defensible Space Inspections by SCFD:

What to Expect

Beware of anyone who claims to be doing inspections or brush clearing who is not properly identified—some residents have been approached by non-official ‘inspectors’ who are claiming to be representing the agencies.

The BVCA Board has been in communication with our Sonoma County Fire Department regarding what rural Bennett Valley residents can expect in the upcoming perimeter inspections. Chief Steve Mosiurchak outlined the process in his recent letter to Bennett Valley residents. These inspections will be done by Fire District Teams “with badges, uniforms, marked vehicles, and introductions with business cards” who will introduce themselves if homeowners are home,” according to our area’s supervisor. If homeowners are not home they will not be accessing backyards or areas that are behind fences/gates unattended.
