County Solicits Comments on Proposed Commercial Marijuana Grow at 3220 Matanzas Creek Lane
Permit Sonoma has sent the Bennett Valley Community Association an application for a Cannabis Use Permit for about 1.25 acres of outdoor and mixed light cannabis cultivation on a 20-acre parcel zoned resources and rural development (RRD) at 3220 Matanzas Creek Lane. This property is within the Bennett Valley Area Plan. The planning application, Biological Assessment, and Hydrology Study are too large to attach, but can be found on the BVCA web site under Proposals Affecting Bennett Valley:

If you wish to file comments, the deadline has been set for February 8.
Permit Sonoma solicits comments on any of the following issues:
(1) statement of any environmental concerns or uncertainties with the project;
(2) any comments regarding the merits of the project; and
(3) your proposed conditions and mitigations for this project.
Comments should be sent to Lucia Fisher (Lucia.Fincher@sonoma-county.org ; 707-565-1948). Comments were previously solicited during August 2018 for marijuana cultivation projects at nearby sites at 3700 Matanzas Creek Lane and 3803 Matanzas Creek Lane. If you commented on those projects, or commented to a supervisor, your views will probably not be considered for this specific permit unless you send them to Lucia Fisher.
