Beware of Mail Thieves!
Mail was recovered over the weekend that was stolen from an unlocked mail box on Sonoma Mountain Road near Pressley. It was found over a mile away on Sonoma Mountain Road half way to Glen Ellen. An adjacent locked mail box shows signs of an attempt at forced entry (bent metal) and whether any mail was removed from that box is unknown.
Please report any suspicious activity regarding mail boxes to the sheriff or postal authorities. Most of us carry cell phones with cameras -- a photo of a suspect or the license plate of a suspect’s vehicle might be an excellent deterrent against future attempts as well as a means of identifying the culprit(s).
