UPDATE: County Proposes to Repair Bennett Valley Road and Ignore Sonoma Mountain and Pressley Roads

We apologize for sending another message so soon, but we failed to stress the important message that the County is not considering Sonoma Mountain and Pressley Roads in this proposal.

The supervisors will decide on Tuesday morning, March 25, soon after 8:30 a.m. (note corrected meeting start time), which roads they will repair this summer.

As you will recall, over 550 residents and users of Sonoma Mountain and Pressley roads asked the county to fix those roads. In particular, the condition of Sonoma Mountain Road has increasingly been contentious with respect to the soon to open county park at Jacob’s Ranch, the refurbishments at the Zen Center, and the Belden Barns winery proposal.

Please attend the meeting or email Supervisor Gorin (Susan.Gorin@sonoma-county.org) to provide your opinion on the adequacy of the proposal and to express your opinion on the importance of repairing all of our county roads.

You can view the entire agenda package for Agenda Item #22, including maps, at:

The last page of the Agenda Item Summary Report, which can be downloaded here, lists the roads proposed for repair this summer.  Bennett Valley Road is included, but others in Bennett Valley are not.
